8th of May
Last Thursday morning we traveled to BIlbao, because we were invited to a conference to celebrate the day of Europe. To my surprise, it was so entertaining and interesting: Firstly, because it was in Inglish and secondly, because I realise how important is to know apart from English, another different lenguages depends on where you want to work in the future. There were 4 people who shared with us their laboral experience and what they think about lenguage. Finally, they allowed us to ask some questions if we wanted to. At the end, we had a little lunch with the other students who attend to the confecerce. We had very good time in Bilbao !!!!!!!
9th of May
On friday, our teachers made a questionarie to all DBH students. The objetive was for cohesion and solidarity and to promote the knowledge of other cultures and languages; and of course, to people realise that in the 9th of may is the day of Europe. They put some lenguages and the students have to match these with a phrase in that lenguage. Such a successful idea!!!!!!!

DECALOGUE: UNAI AND ANE
Unai and I have done a decalogue for the project about poverty and social exclusion.
The aim of this decalogue is to encourage organizations to help to improve this situation (poverty and social exclusion). We came up with some ideas and afterwards we have chosen the best ones. As it is a Decalogue, we put 10 ideas.
We divided the work in two parts: Unai thought of 5 ideas and me another 5. Not only do we took some ideas about our classmates but also we surfed the internet, where we found out opinions of a lot of people. Based on that, we have taken advantage of it and buit up other concepts.

Europe in the Basque Country
For my point of view, when I think of Europe in the Bask Country the most related and representative one is the car registration. All our cars have in common this here, In this country.
European Debt Crisis
Crisis is the situation of a complex system (family, economy,
society) when the system functions poorly, an immediate decision is
necessary, but the causes of the dysfunction are not known.
And as we know Spain is one of the most affected one, the unemployed rate increases gradually...
The other day we were speaking about this topic in the class, and we started with it because we are going to do a project as you could see later.
Eurozone crisis
The Eurozone crisis resulted from a combination of complex factors, including the globalisation of finance.
BBC News - In graphics: Eurozone crisis
In this new you have a very good graph and explanation about it.

MY NGO
Greenpeace is
a non-governmental environmental organization with offices
in over forty countries and with an international coordinating body
in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The objective of the
environmental NGO is to protect and defend the environment, speaking
in different parts of the world where there are committed terrorist
attacks against Nature. Greenpeace runs campaigns to stop climate
change, protect biodiversity, for the non-use of GMOs, reduce
pollution, end the use of nuclear energy and weapons. Besides
protecting forests and natural landscapes.
The environmental
movement was born in 1971 when a group of American anti-nuclear
activists
formed a small
organization called Do not Make a Wave Committee (the Committee a
Tsunami not provoke) to prevent the United States carried out a
second nuclear test on Amchitka Archipelago (Alaska).
Although there were many people involved in one way or another in the various initial stages, the key people from the outset were Dorothy and Irving Stowe, Marie and Jim Bohlen, Ben and Dorothy Metcalfe, and Bob Hunter. The first board is formed by Stowe, Bohlen and future Olympic medalist yachtsman Paul Côté.

Greenpeace is present
in five continents, but with little presence in Africa, limited to
working with social organizations and local communities affected by
pollution from toxic waste, over-fishing, illegal logging and climate
change.
Do you know that what
you are wearing at the moment has been
made by
really toxic materials? How does it affect to the enviroment? In
fact, Greenpeace has started to contribuit to stop the production
of clothing with these materials in 2014: British
luxury brand Burberry made a commitment to eliminate the use of
hazardous chemicals from its supply chain by 1 January
2020. Burberry's move
comes after just two weeks of people-powered campaigning on the
brand's social media channels, reaching an audience of millions,
while Greenpeace volunteers held protests at stores from Beijing to
Mexico City. Burberry joins 18 big brands like Zara, Valentino and
H&M who have committed to Detox their clothes and manufacturing
processes.
AMAZONE
The Amazon is a vast
and majestic rainforest teeming with an estimated quarter of all
known land species. The jaguar, the pink river dolphin, the sloth,
the world's largest flower, a monkey the size of a toothbrush and a
spider the size of a baseball are just a few of the species that we
know about - there are many more yet to be discovered.
It
is also home to over 20 million people including hundreds of
indigenous peoples, some of which have never been contacted by the
‘outside world’.
And
finally, the Amazon stores 80 to 120 billion tonnes of carbon,
helping to stabilise the planet's climate.
However, we are
destroying it with deforestation...
POLAR OCEANS
The Arctic and the Antarctic, two of the greatest wilderness areas on Earth with ecosystems vital to the functioning of our planet, are under assault from the impacts of rapidly accelerating climate change, industrialization, and the unchecked consumption of our planet's resources.
The poles are
indicators of the planet's health and provide early warning that we
are compromising the Earth´s ability to sustain life as we know it.
It is already too late to avoid profound negative changes at the
poles, but we can limit the damage by establishing boundaries that
stop the commercial fishing fleets and the oil and gas industries
from plundering and polluting these already damaged ecosystems.
Greenpeace exists
because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It
needs change. It needs action.

World Population Graph
Hi bloggers! In one class we were discussing about the population growth, here you have an useful graph to understand better how has the population grown in the last centuries:
From my point of view, the population is growing to fast and that could be a proplem in the future.
Trasnational Companies
Hi bloggers, this evaluation we have been talking about the globalization and I did a list of translational companies with products which I found at home, here you can see some photos:
TRANSLATIONAL INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS
Nike: Beaverton, Oregón (USA)
TRANSLATIONAL TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCTS
SONY: Japan
ALTERNATIVE SPEAKER: Federal Territory, Malaysia
MILKA CHOCOLATE: Neuchâtel, en la Suiza
TRANSLATIONAL INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS
EASTPAK: VF Corporation, USA
Adidas: Herzogenaurach, Germany

TRANSLATIONAL FOOD PRODUCTS
ORLANDO KETCHUP: La Rioja, Spain
COCA COLA: Atlanta, Georgia, USA
MILKA CHOCOLATE: Neuchâtel, en la Suiza
What is globalization to me?
Believe it or not, every day we consume products made in other countries and that these closely related to globalization. For example, a week ago I bought some boots in Zara, and I realised they were made in China, which means that thanks to globalization we can easily get products made in other countries and bring products made here to other countries. Furthermore, also some restaurants like Mac Donals is globally known thanks to globalization, where everyone eats there often. Another product closely related to globalization for me is the Coca Cola because every day I drink one. But it also has disadvantages such as environmental pollution, the factories throw a lot of litter to the river and to the atmosphere and to it is not extended to developing countries.

SEVEN BILLION AND COUNTING
Hi bloggers, I've recently read an article about the population in the world:
Nowadays, the world's population recently reached seven billion, It's a big number to imagine from my point of view. As reference to the statiscis, in 1999 the worl's population reached 6 million and 30 years before, there were 3.5 million people on the planet, such a big difference.
One reason of this fast growth is that the standars of living have been improve, there have been olso much medical advances, which mean fewer deaths from diseases or from malnutrition.
In the worl's poorer countries, such as sub-Sahara Africa there are the fastest rates of population growth, while in rich countries are mostly growing much more slowly.
In the future, it is expected that the worl's population will grow as 15 billion by 2100. However, there are another predictions, It seems that by 2030 will be 9 billion and by 2050 10 billion.
To my own sense, There will be too many people in the planet, and could be a problem.
