Hi Bloggers ! We've just started a new term and we did a very interesting exercise:

We tried to compare all the continets in many aspects, such us the energy consumed,  money,  population and the size. To my surprise, there are a lot of peple living in Asia, in China, for instance, there are more people than in a big part of Europe. However, America is the one who consumes a big part of energy, whereas in Africa, the popullation is very little and doesn't have so much money. Asia is the biggest Continent in the world, while Australia is the smallest.

“La beca Erasmus es lo mejor que ofrece la Unión Europea”

Estudiantes extranjeros que disfrutan del programa en Madrid cuentan cuánto dinero reciben de sus respectivos países. El nuevo sistema fija una beca minima segun el pais de destino.

En España la ayuda de la beca procede de la Comisión Europea (115 euros), del Gobierno español (entre 100 y 185 euros al mes) y de ciertas comunidades autónomas. Loserasmus españoles son de los más numerosos, pero también de los que menos dinero reciben. ¿Cómo funciona en otros países del programa Erasmus? No todos cuentan con una ayuda estatal, algunas regiones concretas aportan complementos y lo mismo pasa con algunos Ayuntamientos o universidades, que tiran de su presupuesto para inflar la beca.

Mustafá Zobiri, francés de 22 años, estudia relaciones internacionales y este año está de erasmus en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. En Francia, explica, es la universidad directamente la que da el dinero a los estudiantes. Este año todavía no se ha calculado la cuantía de la beca, pero suele oscilar entre los 250 y 300 euros mensuales sumando la ayuda estatal y la de la Comisión Europea (CE). Algunos franceses también tienen la posibilidad de recibir una ayuda regional que suele rondar los 200 euros al mes y a veces también una aportación municipal. “Este año han bajado las becas en Francia”, asegura Zobiri.

This new talks about how works The Erasmus in Spain, all the money proceeds of the European Commision. In other countrys, such us France, the university gives students directly the money and apart from the schoolarship, Frensh students can olso have a little regional help about 200 €, but unfortunately the schoolarships have fallen, as Zobiri says.

La UE certifica la primera rebaja presupuestaria de su historia

La Unión Europea se adentra por primera vez en la senda de los recortes presupuestarios. Varios años después de que los países comunitarios comenzaran a aplicar la dura medicina de la austeridad, las cuentas de la UE para los próximos siete años no han podido escapar a esa tendencia. Han hecho falta, eso sí, nueve meses de intensa negociación para que el Parlamento Europeo dé su visto bueno a lo que en principio le parecía inaceptable: ampliar el espectro de sus políticas con menos recursos para desarrollarlas. 

It says that the European Union is going to make the first budgets cuts, after 9 months of negotiation until the European Parliament has decided it.
